zimbabweans Come Together To Fundraise Money to equip THORNGROVE HOSIPITAL in Bulawayo

Thorngrove Hospital For #COVID-19 Testing

Fundraiser for Joseph Qobo Mayisa by Ezra Tshisa Sibanda ·

So far R91,670 raised of R387,201 . About Let’s make Thorngrove Hospital a testing centre for COVID-19

Zimbabwe in the past week recorded its first official corona virus ( covid 19) cases and death. The country is in a state of high alert. However the medical facilities are not yet adequately prepared. The infectious diseases hospital and referal centre in Bulawayo and the Southern region is the Thorngrove Hospital run by the Bulawayo City Council. Suspected Corona virus cases are sent there and they dont have testing kits.

Thorngrove Hospital is a referral Hospital for Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, South, Masvingo & Midlands Hospitals for patients suffering from infectious diseases. Patientsv with symptoms are referred there where their samples are taken and then sent to Harare for tesing where they take between 3-10 days to come back. There is a desperate need for testing kits and protective gear to be made available in Bulawayo urgently.

We have located a UK supplier of testing kits that go for $7 each. We want to raise at least $7000 that will be enough to bring 1000 testing kits to Bulawayo. Ideally at least 5000 kits will cover short term emergency need. We are calling on all people the world over to help us avert a catastrophe by donating to the Bulawayo covid 19 response fund. We have the blessing of the Mayor of Bulawayo his worship Solomon Mguni. We are in direct communication with the medical authorities in the city.

Support the Bulawayo Covid 19 emergency fund that will buy testing kits and also provide protective gear for medical staff. N 95 mask, Surgical mask Infra red Thermometers, Gloves, Plastic Gowns etc
