Zimbabwe Broadcasting Cooperation has hiked the Radio and Television licence fees. In a Statutory Instrument of a Government Gazzette published last Friday by the National Broadcaster, approved by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services in terms of the Broadcasting Services Act.
The Public is now expected to pay $75.00 per quarter from $25.00 for household Radio licence in rural areas; $225.00 revised from $50.00 in urban areas.
Motor vehicle radio licence fees is now $450.00 up from $300.00.
Companies will pay $625.00 per term up from $600.00 for car radio licences $1 125.00 up from $1000.00 for Television licence.
