pUBLIC outrage as Zimbabwe Government uses the Army to Takeover Opposition Party MDC-A Headquarters in Harare and Arrested 2 Vice-Presidents

Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leadership were arrested today in Harare after attempting to enter their party offices which was sealed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police who took control of the HQ with the help of the Military during the night. MDC-A leadership which was arrested include two Vice-Presidents, Honourable Tendai Biti and VP Karinye Kore, Deputy International Relations Leader Lovemore Chinoputsa, Deputy S.G. Chimhini and Leader Vongai Tomeand other staff members who wanted to have access to their offices. Roit police sealed the the Harvest house the whole day protecting an MDC-T faction led by Thokozani Khupe, Douglas Mwonzora and Morgan Komich who enlisted for help from the security force to take control of the property.

The United States of America Embassy twitted: We are dismayed by the politicized use of security forces to take over the headquarters of an opposition party and arrest its members. A healthy democracy requires healthy opposition parties. #PoliticalArrests#AHouseStolen
