High Court of Zimbabwe Blocked Douglas Mwonzora & Thokozani Khupe from MDC-A $7.5 Million Allocation

‪A High Court of Zimbabwe Judge has stopped the Zimbabwe Government from paying Z$7.5 million to the MDC-T faction led by Douglas Mwonzora and Thokozani Khupe. ‬‪The money is meant for the MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa under the Political Parties Finance Act.‬‪ The court recognized MDC-A as a party. This is an interim order, yet to be finalized.

‪“It’s an interim order which means the other parties have a chance to respond. ‬‪That is what is going to happen in 10 days time. ‬‪Celebrating the interim order is designed to entrap those who celebrate because then they can’t complain and berate the court when it rules the opposite,” said lawyer Alex Magaisa.
