A High Court of Zimbabwe Judge has stopped the Zimbabwe Government from paying Z$7.5 million to the MDC-T faction led by Douglas Mwonzora and Thokozani Khupe. The money is meant for the MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa under the Political Parties Finance Act. The court recognized MDC-A as a party. This is an interim order, yet to be finalized.
“It’s an interim order which means the other parties have a chance to respond. That is what is going to happen in 10 days time. Celebrating the interim order is designed to entrap those who celebrate because then they can’t complain and berate the court when it rules the opposite,” said lawyer Alex Magaisa.
